For centuries, various cultures have made a wide variety of carpets with different techniques and materials. We have made it the task of making this diversity understandable for you.

What makes a Persian rug so desirable?

Persian carpets have a centuries-long tradition and craftsmanship. The art of carpet weave in Persia emerged 2,500 years ago from a practical need to cover floors for nomadic peoples. Carpets should work against cold and moisture - and protect arms and rich equally.

What began as a necessity developed into a prestigious craftsmanship. For millennia, the art of carpet could be passed on by generation to generation.Natural materials combined with handmade production techniques make every carpet unique and give it his own personality.

At Beyondknots we understand the unique heritage and the tradition of carpets. As a family business with over 75 years of experience, which extends over four generations, we are well established in the carpet industry. We have good and many years of relationships to buffers that we trust in terms of production and quality. We make sure that our hand-knotted rugs are produced from raw materials - such as virgin wool fibers, cotton and / or silk - and their coloring on herbal base consists e.g. from walnut shells, pomegranate,Saffron, wine leaves and sea buckthorn.

For many years we travel around the world to select the rarest carpets for you. Our vision is to find the perfect carpet for you with a personal approach. Transparency is of great importance for us. For every carpet we sell, we offer you comprehensive information and - if desired - a personal advice.
